5-Ingredient Moringa Latte
Moringa is a small deciduous tree native to the Indian subcontinent. Its leaves are dried and ground into a fine powder.
They contain several important vitamins, in addition to calcium, iron and potassium.
Its flavour profile is very similar to matcha and is spiked with notes of bitterness.
This creamy moringa latte balances the bitter taste with cacao butter and maple syrup.
Rejuvenating and highly nutritious, moringa latte is the perfect pick-me-up drink that we all so often need!
INGREDIENTS:-
- 1/2 tbsp moringa powder
- 1 1/2 cup plant-based milk
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (or sweetener of choice)
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch cacao butter
INSTRUCTIONS:-
- To a small bowl, add moringa powder and 1-2 tbsp of hot water. Using a whisk or a spoon, whisk to form a lump-free paste.
- Heat milk in a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a simmer.
- Add the moringa paste and cinnamon. Stir well.
- Remove from heat and stir in the cacao butter and maple syrup.
- Serve hot.
